Manithon Reloaded 2020
Due to Covid-19 we unfortunately had to postpone our exciting Charity Manithon, but we have some good news we have a new date! Manithon Reloaded 2020 is going to take place on the 26th September 2020.
What is a ‘Manithon’?
We are going to carry out as many gel manicure treatments in the salon as possible between 9am and 6pm
The reason for the day
We are supporting a fantastic charity Lupus UK.
Nikki is was due to running the London 2020 marathon back in April before it was postposed due to Covid-19. Luckily, Nikki has been given a place to run a ‘virtual’ London Marathon taking place on the 4th of October 2020 and she will be doing circuits around Crawley to reach her marathon goal of 26.2 miles.
She has been supporting Lupus UK for the past 9 years and has undertaken many marathons and other runs in this time for this amazing charity.
We support Lupus UK due to Nikki’s mum suffering from this incurable autoimmune disease which has greatly affected her family for as long as Nikki can remember. Running is a huge achievement for Nikki as she is such a busy lady we do not know where she finds the time!
What is Lupus?
Lupus is an incurable immune illness which mainly affects females.
Lupus can produce many symptoms that a lot of GP’s fail to recognize and it can commonly be misdiagnosed with conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis and many more.
Lupus can attack major internal organs such as the kidneys, heart, lungs and the brain. Once this happens damage can be irreversible.
There is currently no cure which is why we want to raise funds and awareness to combat this condition for its sufferers and their families.
